Darcey-150x150 Veterinary Technicians and AssistantsDarci Corrigan, Senior Manager and ICU Manager

Miss Darci Corrigan quickly worked her way up through the ranks at her prior employer and came to Middlesex County Animal Hospital when first opening over a decade ago.  Darci has demonstrated a fierce work ethic, love for the patients, and a thirst for learning everything about veterinary medicine.

In just three years she was promoted to veterinary technician status and became the heart and soul of the hospital’s diagnostic team. She has since been promoted numerous times and is now the senior manager in addition to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) manager. Her primary interests lie in the areas of radiography and ultrasound, but she always welcomes the opportunity to broaden her veterinary knowledge. Having a lifetime love of animals, she knows this is right where she is meant to be! Outside of the office she loves to hike, go to the gym, and visit family in different areas of New England. When at home, she enjoys cooking and spending time with Chuck Norris, her Pug.

Bill-150x150 Veterinary Technicians and AssistantsBill Doherty, Anesthesia and Surgery Manager

Mr. Bill Doherty has been a trusted and well respected staff member at Middlesex County Animal Hospital for the past decade.  Bill’s knowledge and skill in veterinary care are extraordinary and he has a great affection for clients and their pets.  Bill has been a veterinary technician for the past 25 plus years and has held many managerial positions.  He has dedicated his working career to the veterinary profession and is an incredible asset to this organization.  Currently the manager of our anesthesia and surgery department, Bill solidifies our vigilant surgery team.

Bill grew up in Billerica and surrounding areas and now calls Newton home with his lovely fiancée, Georgina, and their beloved dogs, Seven and Kiko.  Bill loves to work but even more loves to take a walk in the woods or just be lazy in the backyard with his dogs.  He frequently visits friends and family in the area and often finds the conversation gravitates to his profession and everyone’s pets.  He has always had a way with animals and his love for all creatures is obvious to all that know him.

Jillian Nolan, Technician Assistant Manager

Jill joined the Middlesex County Animal team in March of 2016. She has acquired vital knowledge and techniques over the years and continues to grow at every opportunity. This past year she happily accepted a promotion as the Head of Technician Assistants. She feels the team of techs that she works with are professional and self-motivated; making her job rather simple. When she isn’t busy at work, Jill enjoys outdoor activities like hiking with her Chihuahua, Traci, and her boyfriend, Brian. She has a background in laboratory science and is a connoisseur of our lab equipment in the treatment area. Her patience and compassion make her a great teacher for incoming employees.

Jayna Tamir, Nutrition Manager

Jayna has been a valuable part of the Middlesex County Animal Hospital team since early 2015. Over the years, her organizational skills and eager attitude have landed her the position as our hospital’s Nutrition Manager. She also works closely with our Technician Assistant manager to keep our education and training manuals modern with the newest and latest developments. Jayna has always been extremely passionate about animals and knew she wanted to join this profession early in her adolescence. In the past, she has thoroughly enjoyed being a foster mom to fur babies in need, one of which turned into a “foster failure” as she was too attached to let go. She shares her home with Vastra, her Bearded Dragon, Franklin the cat, Theodore the rabbit, Penelope the Sun Conure, and Dexter, her Pomchi pup. While outside of work Jayna enjoys doing anything outdoorsy such as hiking or camping, in addition to sitting down to read a good book!

Mary Pizzi

Mary has been with Middlesex County since 2016, but often calls herself a “forever employee” as she has been in the field for over 8 years. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know all of our clients and their pets. Mary’s optimistic and composed character keeps everything organized and running smoothly around the hospital. Since joining our facility, she has found a passion for surgery and overseeing the ICU. She is a resident of Massachusetts and shares her home with her partner, Walter, their son, Walter Jr., Gino, the Brussels Griffon, and their two cats, Homer and Hector. Mary graduated from UMass Dartmouth in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and enjoys petting kittens, puppies, and making others laugh.

Kirby Taylor

Kirby, a new resident of the greater Boston area, has been a part of our team since Fall of 2016. She has previously worked in animal husbandry and education with exotic, farm, and aquatic animals. She dreams of living on a farm with a herd of dogs, goats, and large lizards. Among this farm would include her precious Boxer, Herbie, and her bearded dragon, Krampus. In 2015 she graduated from the University of Vermont with her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys boating, honey mustard pretzels, and indoor rock climbing. She is a technician you can always count on to be enthusiastic as well as tender hearted, allowing for pets and owners to feel relaxed at every visit.

Elise Pedersen

Elise joined the Middlesex County Animal Hospital team in late 2016 as a Technician Assistant. However, this is not her first experience in a veterinary hospital. Prior to starting here, Elise worked as a customer service representative at a hospital closer to Boston where she was living at the time. She now lives local to the Billerica area with her boyfriend, Don and cats Penelope, Spiffy, and Bee. Outside of work, Elise enjoys camping and various arts and craft activities. She is also very passionate about rescuing cats, whether it is fostering or a trap neuter and return for feral cats. Having always loved animals, Elise certainly feels as though working in this field fulfills her heart.

Seamus Munnelly

Seamus started with Middlesex County Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician in the Summer of 2016. Prior to starting with us, he attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he got his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He credits the many visits to his family’s farm in Ireland for his passion of the veterinary field. His favorite sports team is the New England Patriots! Outside of work he enjoys fishing and wakeboarding. He also enjoys caring for his Cherry Head Red-Footed tortoise, Humphrey, who can live for more than 50 years!

Justin Lutz

Justin graduated from the University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Sound Recording. He was excited to begin his new career with us and enjoys everything about the veterinary atmosphere. Just recently, he has become more involved in dental procedures and can often be found helping Joe in the Dental Suite. He has volunteered frequently with MSPCA Boston in the Shelter Surgery Clinic and has attended many cat spay clinics. Justin lives in Somerville with his two cats, Milo Avogadro and Selina Kyle.  He enjoys playing music and running in his spare time.

Kelly Pelletier

Kelly is a Vermont native and grew up on a dairy farm, which is where her passion for animals started. She then went on and attended Vermont Technical College to get a degree doing what she loves and acquired her Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. Her compassion and dedication to understand each and every animal’s needs makes her a valuable asset to the Middlesex County Animal Hospital team. At home, she spends time her dog a Maltese mix and her cat. In addition to her full time job here, Kelly enjoys catching up on her favorite shows on Netflix, cooking, and reading.
